Key developments towards 100% CSPO by 2020
CSPO Watch was launched in late 2017 to track corporate commitments to the use of certified sustainable palm oil (CSPO) and the overall commitment to remove deforestation from corporate supply chains.
These commitments, if realized, could have far-reaching impacts on reducing the ecological footprint of the average consumer as the commitments have been made by all sectors of industries including food, financial services and other consumer products.
As in any new movements towards change, it has always been industry leaders and pioneers that have beaten a path for others to follow. Here on CSPO Watch, we will be monitoring the progress of these commitments with a focus on the north American market where sustainability has traditionally been a low priority compared to markets like Europe.
Key developments towards 100% CSPO by 2020 presented below by date.
